## Overview

The LimeChat automated assistant helps customers in several ways, including showcasing product links and generating checkout links. These links can be customized for each brand.

### Current Scenario

At the moment, all checkout links will appear as `shop.limechat.ai/{variable_string}`

For different checkouts, only the variable string will change, but all customers will see `[shop.limechat.ai](<http://shop.limechat.ai>)` in the link.

### Optimal Scenario

You will prefer that the links come in the following manner `shop.{yourdomain.com}/{variable_string}`

Each checkout link will come with your custom domain branding making it easier for the customer to trust the link and associate it with your brand.

### Steps to Enable Branded Links

To enable custom links with your brand name, we need your team to perform the following steps.

**Step 1:** Go to your domain registrar, sign in, and locate the domain DNS Manage section.

**Step 2:** Create a new type CNAME record with the name - `shop` (no quotes) and value - [`cname.short.io`](http://cname.short.io/) (no quotes). **Step 3:** Save your changes. You will see a new record:

`shop CNAME[cname.short.io](<http://cname.short.io/>)`

Done! Now wait for the server’s updates; it might take 1-2 hours. [Short.io](http://short.io) will notify you by email.
