# Generate Shopify Checkout

**What it does:**\
Creates a Shopify checkout link for the user with pre-filled details (like products and discounts). This link can be shared with the user to directly complete their purchase.

**When to Use:**

* When you want to send a ready-to-pay checkout link to a user on WhatsApp<br>
* In abandoned cart recovery flows<br>
* When offering discounts and nudging users to complete purchase<br>
* In assisted buying journeys (agent or bot helps user finalize order)<br>

**UI Inputs:**

* **Discount Type**
  * Type: Dropdown<br>
  * Required: Yes<br>
  * Description: Select how the discount will be applied (e.g., percentage)<br>
  * Special Behavior: Predefined options (e.g., percentage-based discount)<br>
* **Discount Value**
  * Type: Number input<br>
  * Required: Yes<br>
  * Description: Value of the discount (e.g., 5 for 5%)<br>
* **Expiry in Days**
  * Type: Number input<br>
  * Required: Yes<br>
  * Description: Number of days after which the checkout link/discount expires<br>
  * Special Behavior:
    * `0` may indicate no expiry or immediate expiry (depends on Shopify handling)<br>
* **Discount Code Prefix**
  * Type: Text input<br>
  * Required: Yes<br>
  * Description: Prefix used to generate the discount/coupon code<br>

**Notes:**

* This node effectively creates a draft checkout on Shopify and returns a payment link<br>
* The generated link should typically be used in a Message Node right after this step<br>
* Works best when user/cart context is already available in the flow (e.g., via Shopify events)<br>
* Discount configuration here directly impacts the checkout experience shown to the user
