# Handoff Conversation To Bot

**What it does:**\
Transfers the conversation from the current automation flow (marketing or rule-based flow) to LimeChat’s GPT-powered bot. After this point, the bot takes over and handles the conversation dynamically using its configured journeys and intelligence.

**When to Use:**

* When you want to switch from rule-based automation to AI-driven conversation<br>
* For handling complex or open-ended user queries (e.g., product discovery, FAQs, support)<br>
* When building conversational shopping or support journeys via the bot<br>
* When the predefined flow reaches a point where flexibility or personalization is needed<br>

**UI Inputs:**

* **Configuration Data**
  * **Type:** Text input<br>
  * **Required:** No<br>
  * **Description:** Optional data or instructions that can be passed to the bot at the time of handoff<br>
  * **Special Behavior:**
    * Can be used to influence bot behavior (e.g., context, journey hints)<br>
    * If left empty, bot proceeds with default configuration<br>
* **Pass Conversation Context**
  * **Type:** Boolean (True/False toggle)<br>
  * **Required:** Yes<br>
  * **Description:** Determines whether previous conversation history is shared with the bot<br>
  * **Special Behavior:**
    * **True:** Bot receives full prior conversation context → more personalized and relevant responses<br>
    * **False:** Bot starts fresh without past context<br>

* **successful**
  * **Type:** Boolean<br>
  * **Meaning:**
    * **true** → Handoff to bot was successful<br>
    * **false** → Handoff failed<br>

* After this node, conversation control shifts fully to the bot<br>
