# Start WhatsApp Call

**What it does:**\
Initiates a WhatsApp call with the user and routes it via a selected CRM inbox.

**When to Use:**

* When you want to trigger a WhatsApp call during a conversation<br>
* In high-intent scenarios where a voice interaction is preferred over chat<br>
* For faster resolution (e.g., sales callbacks, support escalation)<br>
* When routing calls through specific teams or inboxes<br>

**UI Inputs:**

* **CRM Inbox**
  * **Type:** Dropdown (server-fetched list)<br>
  * **Required:** No<br>
  * **Description:** Select the CRM inbox through which the WhatsApp call should be initiated<br>
  * **Special Behavior:**
    * Options are dynamically fetched from available CRM inboxes<br>
    * Refresh icon allows updating the list in real time<br>

**Outputs:**

* **successful**
  * **Type:** Boolean<br>
  * **Meaning:**
    * true → Call was successfully initiated<br>
    * false → Call initiation failed<br>
* **call\_id**
  * **Type:** Text<br>
  * **Meaning:**
    * Unique identifier for the initiated call<br>
    * Can be used in downstream steps for tracking or further actions<br>

**Notes:**

* CRM Inbox selection is optional, but choosing the correct inbox helps in proper routing and tracking<br>
* The node only initiates the call—it does not manage call outcomes or handle post-call actions<br>
* Typically used in flows where immediate human interaction is needed via WhatsApp calling
